Troll

The Troll is the first enemy that can wreck your base and one-shot you. It is huge, slow, and hits in a wide arc, either with its fists or an uprooted tree.

How to Fight It

Fight in the open where you can dodge. Trolls telegraph their swings clearly, so circle behind, hit a few times, and back out.

1. Use a bow with wood or flinthead arrows. Trolls are weak to pierce.
2. Never fight one in a forest. It smashes through trees and your view at once.
3. Keep your stamina up so you can always dodge the overhead slam.

What It Drops

Trolls drop Troll Hide, used to craft the Troll set: light, quiet armor with a sneak bonus that carries you through the early game.
