Fader

Fader is the boss of the Ashlands and the current end of Valheim's progression. The Ashlands themselves are a gauntlet: getting to Fader in one piece is half the challenge.

Getting to Fader

Fader is summoned at an altar in the Ashlands once you have the required offering, gathered from the zone's toughest enemies (Morgen and the Charred). Simply landing on the Ashlands coast is a fight on its own, since the shore is defended and the ground burns.

How to Beat Fader

Fader is a large-scale fight with heavy area damage and adds, in keeping with the Ashlands' siege theme. Treat it like a war, not a duel.

1. Clear and fortify the arena approach so you are not fighting Charred legions and the boss at once.
2. Bring maxed flametal weapons and armor, plus the Yagluth power for the fire damage everywhere in this biome.
3. Keep your distance management tight. The Ashlands punish standing still with constant ground hazards.
4. Stack healing and stamina food, and carry spare meads. Endurance wins this one.

Drops and Reward

Fader drops the Fader Trophy and endgame Ashlands loot. As the final boss in the current progression, beating Fader is the capstone of a full Valheim run.
