Sneaking (Skill)

Sneaking levels up while you move undetected near enemies, and a higher level shrinks how easily creatures notice you, giving you more room to line up an ambush. It works hand in hand with backstab damage from knives and other weapons.

Why It Matters

For a stealth-oriented playthrough it is close to essential, letting you pick off dangerous enemies one at a time with backstabs instead of pulling a whole pack. For a straightforward combat build it matters far less, since you spend most fights in open combat rather than sneaking up on anything.
