Hares are fast, harmless creatures that bolt through the fog of the Mistlands the moment they notice you. They never fight back, so the challenge is just catching one before it vanishes into the mist. They drop Hare Meat and Scale Hide, the soft material used alongside Carapace for Mistlands armor.
