The Spinning Wheel converts Flax into Linen Thread, the material behind Padded armor, the Linen Cape, and several Plains weapons. It requires an Artisan Table nearby. Grow Flax with the Cultivator in the Plains and feed it in to unlock the strongest pre-Mistlands gear.
