Sunken Crypts are the green-doored dungeons of the Swamp, locked until you beat The Elder for the Swamp Key. Inside you mine Muddy Scrap Piles for Scrap Iron, the only source of iron in the game, while fighting Draugr and Blobs. They also drop Withered Bones used to summon Bonemass, so a full crypt clear sets up both your iron gear and the boss fight.
