Copper is the first metal you mine, and it is the start of the bronze age. You need the Antler Pickaxe from Eikthyr to mine it.
Finding It
Copper comes from large Copper Deposits, the big mossy rock mounds scattered through the Black Forest. Dig the whole mound out, including underground, to get every node.
Using It
Smelt Copper Ore in a Smelter, then combine Copper with Tin at the Forge to make Bronze.
