About HostedGG

HostedGG is an independent gaming wiki and news platform. We publish game guides, tier lists, reviews, redeem codes, and news, written to help players get more out of the games they play. This page explains who produces that content, how we check it, and how to hold us accountable when we get something wrong.

Our editorial team can be reached directly at editorial@hostedgg.com.

Who Writes Our Content

Every article carries a visible publication date and a byline. Most are published under the HostedGG Team byline, which means they came out of our editorial pipeline rather than from a single named writer; you can see that work collected on the team page. Where an article is the work of one person, it carries their name and links to their profile and their other articles. Community contributors who help maintain the wikis agree to our contributor terms.

How We Use AI

We use AI tooling to write and maintain a large part of this site. We would rather say that plainly than let you work it out, so here is exactly where it sits and where it stops.

  • Drafting and maintenance are AI assisted. Our tier lists, banner schedules, redeem codes, and team comps are rendered from structured datasets we maintain by hand, and guides are drafted against those datasets and primary sources.
  • Facts are sourced, not generated. Banner dates, codes, patch versions, and unit stats are checked against official patch notes, developer posts, or an established aggregator before they ship. A model is never the source for a number.
  • We do not publish invented specifics. If a character's kit has not been revealed, we do not guess at it. We have dropped finished drafts rather than ship figures we could not confirm, and we would rather have a gap on a page than a plausible fabrication.
  • Uncertainty is labelled. Wiki entries carry a verification status and the game version they were checked against. Anything unconfirmed, and anything based on a leak or a datamine, is marked as needing review instead of being asserted as fact.
  • Readers can call it out. Wiki pages, tier lists, and code lists all have a report control for flagging something stale or wrong, and those reports feed the daily freshness audit that tells us what to re-check.

A person, not a pipeline, is accountable for what is published here. If something is wrong, it is our mistake to fix, and the corrections policy below is how to make us fix it.

How We Research and Verify

  • We prioritize primary sources: official patch notes, developer posts, and first-hand testing in the game itself over second-hand summaries.
  • News articles link to the original source so readers can confirm the facts for themselves.
  • Tier lists and guides reflect a stated set of criteria, and rankings are opinions formed from play experience, not absolute fact. We say so where it matters.
  • Game content changes constantly. We date our articles, note the game version where relevant, and update pages when balance patches or new releases make them out of date.

Review Independence

Our review scores are our own. We do not sell scores, and a positive review is never a condition of any commercial relationship. When a game key, early access, or other consideration is provided by a developer or publisher, we disclose it in the review. Scores reflect the reviewer's honest assessment of the game at the time of writing, and we note when a game is reviewed in early access or before its full release.

Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure

Some articles link to games, game keys, or other products through affiliate links, and we may earn a commission from those links at no extra cost to you. We also run display advertising. None of this changes our editorial conclusions: which products we recommend, how we rank them, or the scores we give.

Sponsored or paid content, if any, is clearly labeled as such and kept visually and structurally separate from independent editorial coverage. Commercial interest does not buy favorable coverage.

Corrections Policy

We aim to be accurate, and we fix mistakes promptly and transparently. If you spot a factual error, an outdated detail, or a broken claim, email editorial@hostedgg.com with the article URL and the correction.

  • We review every correction request and respond to legitimate reports.
  • When we correct a substantive error, we update the article and its modified date so the change is reflected in the page's metadata.
  • Routine refreshes for new patches or game versions are part of normal upkeep; significant factual corrections are made openly rather than quietly.

Ownership & Funding

HostedGG is an independent gaming wiki and news platform. Our editorial content is funded by advertising, affiliate partnerships (such as game deals and keys), and sponsorships. These commercial relationships support the writing; they do not dictate it. For company, legal, and privacy details, see our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
