1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using HostedGG's website and services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access our Services.

These Terms apply to all visitors, readers, and registered users who access or use our Services, including our website at hostedgg.com.

2. Description of Services

HostedGG is a gaming wiki, guides, and news platform. We also publish Signal Decay, our own offline-first idle RPG. Our Services include but are not limited to:

• Game wikis, databases, tier lists, and redeem code pages
• Guides, reviews, and gaming news
• The Signal Decay game
• An optional newsletter and reader community features
• Optional reader contributions, donations, and subscriptions to support our work

Our content is provided for informational and entertainment purposes. Game information can change with patches and updates, and we do not guarantee that every detail is current or error-free.

3. Accounts

You can read most of our content without an account. If you create an account or sign in through a third-party provider, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use our Services.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

• Use our Services for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate illegal activity
• Post content that is harmful, harassing, hateful, or discriminatory

5. Reader Contributions, Donations, and Subscriptions

5.1 Supporting HostedGG

Our content is free to read. You may choose to support us through one-time donations or, where offered, recurring contributions or subscriptions. These are voluntary and are not required to access our public content.

5.2 Payment Providers

Payments are handled by third-party payment providers, including Google Reader Revenue Manager and our donation processor. When you contribute or subscribe through Google Reader Revenue Manager, that transaction and any account you use are also subject to Google's applicable terms and policies. We do not store full payment card details.

5.3 Recurring Contributions and Cancellation

If you sign up for a recurring contribution or subscription, it renews automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep any benefits until that date. Where a contribution is managed by Google, you manage or cancel it through your Google account.

5.4 Refunds

Voluntary donations are generally non-refundable. Refunds for contributions or subscriptions are handled according to the policy of the relevant payment provider and applicable consumer law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us or the payment provider.

6. User-Submitted Content

If our Services let you post comments or other content, you retain ownership of what you submit. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the Services. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to share it.

7. Intellectual Property

The HostedGG name, logo, original content, and the Signal Decay game are our property or licensed to us, and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or redistribute our content without permission, except as permitted by law (for example, brief quotation with attribution).

Game names, trademarks, and assets referenced in our wikis and guides belong to their respective owners. We are an independent fan and reference resource and are not affiliated with or endorsed by those game publishers unless explicitly stated.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites and rely on third-party services such as Google Reader Revenue Manager, payment providers, and our hosting platform. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Disclaimer

Our Services and content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that our content is accurate, complete, or current, or that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free. Game guides and data are provided for reference and may become outdated.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HostedGG shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or our Services shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or 100 EUR.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HostedGG and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of our Services or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to our Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use our Services will immediately cease. You may close your account at any time by contacting our support team or through your account settings.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by email or through our website. Your continued use of our Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or our Services shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands. However, this does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence.
