Moder

Moder is a frost dragon perched on the Mountain peaks. Beating her gives you the Dragon Tears that unlock the Artisan Table and Blast Furnace, which is your gateway to black metal gear and the Plains.

Finding Dragon Eggs

You summon Moder with 3 Dragon Eggs. They sit in stone nests on the highest Mountain peaks, often guarded by Drakes. Each egg weighs 200 and cannot be teleported, so you are hauling them by cart or boat back to her altar.

How to Beat Moder

Moder fights in two phases: grounded, where she breathes frost and bites, and airborne, where she rains ice shards and slams down a frost shockwave.

1. Fight on flat, open ground so you can see the shard markers and step out of them.
2. Bring Frost Resistance (mead or a Wolf Fur Cape) so her breath does not melt you.
3. Use a strong bow with Frost or Needle arrows for the airborne phase, and a Silver weapon when she lands.
4. Keep a campfire nearby. Standing near one removes the Freezing debuff fast.

Drops and Reward

Moder drops Dragon Tears and the Moder Trophy. The tears craft the Artisan Table, which in turn unlocks the Blast Furnace and Spinning Wheel.

The Moder power gives you a constant tailwind while sailing in any direction. It is the best travel power in the game and makes long ocean crossings to the Plains and Mistlands far quicker.
