Portals teleport you instantly between two structures that share the same tag, collapsing a sprawling map into a fast-travel network. Standard wooden portals will not carry ores, metals, or other restricted items, which forces the classic sailing run for cargo. The newer Stone Portal, built with a Stonecutter, removes that restriction and lets metal through.
