The Stonecutter unlocks all stone, black marble, and grausten building pieces, and requires Iron to build, so it gates stone bases behind the Swamp. It crafts Sharpening Stones for the Forge upgrade and must be near a Workbench. Stone walls give you fireproof, durable defenses that wood cannot match.
