Bronze is your first real metal gear tier, made by combining Copper and Tin at the Forge.
What It Unlocks
Bronze opens up a full kit: the Bronze armor set, the Bronze Sword and Atgeir, the Bronze Pickaxe (for silver later), and the Cultivator for farming. It is the gear you take into the Swamp to start mining iron.

Build a Forge near your smelter so you are not hauling bars across the map every time you craft.
