Woodcutting
Woodcutting is the first skill any Dragonwilds player levels, and it feeds Construction all game.

- Max level
- 99
- Trained by
- Trees, saplings, loose logs
"Chop down trees, tear up saplings or collect logs from the floor to level this skill."
The very first thing the game asks you for is ten ash logs, and Woodcutting never really stops being load-bearing after that because Construction eats wood for the entire campaign.
Collecting logs off the floor counts for experience, which matters more than it sounds in the opening hour: you can get the tutorial crafting table built before you own an axe.
Jagex's own pitch for the spell system uses this skill as the example, summoning a spectral axe that fells a tree instantly, so expect the high-level Woodcutting unlock to be a throughput tool in the same family as Divine Rock.
