Twelve skills are trainable at 1.0, each to level 99, and they fall into four groups:

The thing that separates this from a survival game's crafting tree is that levels buy spells, not just recipes, and the spells are good. 20 Artisan gets you Superheat, which speeds up every processing station you own. 30 Fishing gets you Infernal Rod, which cooks fish the moment you catch them. 80 Mining gets you Divine Rock, a personal ore vein you place wherever you are standing.

That is why "what should I level first" has a real answer in Dragonwilds rather than being a matter of taste: a few mid-level utility spells remove entire chores.

Prayer, Hunter and Slayer appear in game as planned but are not trainable. Two of the three now have dates: Jagex announced at the Dragonwilds Summit on 3 October 2026 that Prayer arrives with the Luminance update in December 2026, built around scattering ashes and burying bones, and that Hunter arrives with Song of Rebellion in 2027 for trapping and collecting creatures. Slayer has no date.

Three further names, Defence, Herblore and Thieving, turn up in datamined files with no announcement behind them, which is why we are not treating those as confirmed.
