Fishing
Fishing in Dragonwilds pays off at level 30, where Infernal Rod cooks the fish as you catch them.

- Max level
- 99
- Key spell
- Infernal Rod (30)
"Catch fish to level this skill."
The reason to take Fishing seriously is Infernal Rod at level 30, which costs 50 Fire runes and cooks each fish as you catch it. That collapses two chores into one: no raw stack to carry home, no second pass at a fire.
It is one of the two or three best quality-of-life unlocks in the game and it sits at a level you can reach in an evening, which makes "level Fishing to 30 early" one of the few pieces of build advice in Dragonwilds that applies to literally everyone.
Jagex's own description of the magic system mentions conjuring a tornado of fish out of a lake, so there is more in the Fishing tree above 30 than the 1.0 spell list makes obvious.
