Armor
World & Biomes
Brynmoor is where Dragonwilds starts: southern woods, valley and swamp, goblins, and the first three vaults.
Ghornfell is the Garou homeland: fractured plains, a poisoned swamp, and highlands under a permanent cursed storm.
Fellhollow is the undead north of Ashenfall, nine locations deep, and the site of the Withering Heights quest.
Dowdun Reach is a fortress region rather than a wilderness: nine sealed areas held by the Black Knights.
The Umbral Sands are a scorched desert where Fuzan is magnifying the sun, plus kalphites and the Fight Cave.
The Scorned Wilderness is the 1.0 endgame region: floating islands, elemental guardian dragons, and Kuldra at the end.
Combat
Skills
All twelve trainable Dragonwilds skills, what levels each one, and the three that are announced but not in yet.
Dragonwilds spells are gated behind individual skills, not just Magic, and the utility ones change how you play.
Runes are the ammunition for every spell in Dragonwilds, and you make them yourself from rune essence.
Attack is the melee combat skill in Dragonwilds, and it gates Tempest Shield at level 11.
Magic in Dragonwilds covers Air, Fire and Water damage and unlocks Surge, Confuse and Vengeance.
Ranged in Dragonwilds tops out at the Magic Longbow and unlocks Snare at level 12.
Mining feeds every metal tier in Dragonwilds and ends at Divine Rock, a conjured ore vein, at level 80.
Woodcutting is the first skill any Dragonwilds player levels, and it feeds Construction all game.
Farming grows the crops that feed Cooking, and Uproot at level 15 harvests a whole radius at once.
Fishing in Dragonwilds pays off at level 30, where Infernal Rod cooks the fish as you catch them.
Runecrafting makes the runes every spell burns, and at 61 it lets you convert surplus runes back to essence.
Construction is the building skill: structures, stations, and the bed that Home Teleport returns you to.
Artisan is the crafting skill behind every weapon, armour piece and tool, and Superheat at 20 speeds up all of it.
Cooking turns crops and fish into the food that keeps Sustenance up through the harder regions.
Agility is the traversal skill, and Windstep at level 8 is the earliest spell in the game.

6 trackedDragonwilds Summit maps the game through 2027: Luminance in December, then the Blood Crystal Saga
Jagex used the first RuneScape: Dragonwilds Summit to lay out a roadmap of free updates. Luminance arrives in December 2026 with the Lyre and Songstones, elven facial features, weapons and armour, Prifddinas-themed building kits, and the Prayer skill built around scattering ashes and burying bones. 2027 brings the two-chapter Blood Crystal Saga: Song of Rebellion adds the Hunter skill and the corrupted elven city of Ailddinas, then Crown of Night pits players against the Nos Clan with the Dark Bow and Ivandis Flail. Modding tools and an in-game mod browser are due early 2027, with secure servers and leaderboards landing alongside Song of Rebellion.
Dragonwilds patch 1.0.0.6 restores Epic Games Store crossplay and adds preventative save fixes
The 1.0.0.6 patch went live on 29 September with crash fixes, preventative work against the save corruption affecting console and Game Pass players, and the return of crossplay for Epic Games Store accounts.
Jagex will restore corrupted Dragonwilds saves in 1.0.1 rather than ask players to restart
Around a thousand players on console and PC Game Pass lost characters to unreadable saves after launch, triggered by disconnects and console sleep mode. Jagex identified editing character appearance as the main culprit and disabled the button. Rather than telling affected players to start over, the 1.0.1 update targeted for mid-October replaces lost characters with tier 4 equipment and skills set to aggregated average levels, keeping the original name, appearance and private chest access.
Dragonwilds 1.0.0.5 fixes four-player multiplayer connections and adds DLSS and FSR support
Released 25 September, patch 1.0.0.5 resolved multiplayer connection failures with three or more players, fixed save corruption coming from modded dedicated servers on console, corrected AI respawning and respawn-point skipping inside the Scorned Wilderness raid, and added DLSS and FSR upscaling on Windows and Xbox Game Pass. The Edit Appearance button was removed while the character-save issue is investigated.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds leaves early access and brings RuneScape to console for the first time in 25 years
Dragonwilds hit 1.0 on 15 September across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Jagex Launcher, the first RuneScape game ever released on a console. The update added the Scorned Wilderness, the Regicide quest, the raid boss Kuldra, Rune and Dragon gear, Black dragonhide, the Ancestral robes and wand, nine new enemy types, Sprint Attacks, and per-session crossplay with invite codes.
Jagex dates the Dragonwilds console launch for 15 September, day one on Game Pass
Ahead of release, Jagex confirmed the 1.0 date across all four platforms and that Dragonwilds would be available day one on Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. The Standard Edition is $29.99 and the Deluxe Edition $39.99.
