Construction levels passively while you do the thing you were going to do anyway, which makes it the easiest skill in the game to raise and the easiest to under-use. Build more than the minimum early and the stations you want later are already affordable.
The one piece of Construction that is tactical rather than cosmetic is the bed, because 1.0's Home Teleport returns you to it on a 900 second cooldown. Moving your bed forward as you push into a new region is worth more than any decoration you will ever place.
The Luminance update in December 2026 adds Prifddinas-themed building kits, so a base built now is going to want rebuilding then.
