Repairing your ship is the first major milestone in Windrose. Before that point, you are surviving on land. After it, the ocean becomes a route to resources, enemies, crew, and better opportunities.
Before You Repair
Gather enough basic materials, set up storage, and craft healing or food. A repaired ship is only useful if you can survive the trips it enables.
After You Repair
Start with nearby coastlines. Learn how turning, wind, enemy ships, and shorelines behave before committing to long ocean travel.
