Farming gives your crew a steadier food base, but it is not yet the deepest system in Windrose. Treat it as support for exploration rather than the whole economy.
What Farming Solves
Food buffs matter before combat, and farming reduces the number of emergency gathering trips you need before sailing.
What It Does Not Solve
Farming does not replace exploration, enemy loot, mining, or ship progression. It supports those loops by keeping the crew fed.
