Ketch

The Ketch is the ship most players associate with the early Windrose sailing loop. It is your mobile base, combat platform, and route between islands.

Why It Matters

A good Ketch setup lets you pick fights, retreat from bad angles, and keep supplies close while exploring. It is also tied into important travel behavior: from sea, fast travel can be activated from the Ketch when you are not in combat.

How To Use It Well

Keep the ship stocked before leaving port, avoid shallow turns near rocks, and think of broadsides before boarding. A ship that is badly positioned makes every fight harder.
