The Fast Travel Bell is the unlock that makes Windrose's travel network practical. Players generally reach it after smelting their first copper ingot, which is why copper progression matters beyond gear.

Before fast travel, every mistake costs sailing time. After the bell, your base network becomes more flexible and coastal outposts become much more valuable.
