Enemy pirates are the clearest test of the Windrose combat loop. They can pressure you through ship encounters, camps, and boarding fights.
How To Fight Them
Do not let groups surround you. Use ship damage before boarding when possible, then fight in controlled spaces instead of sprinting into the middle of a deck.
Loot Mindset
Clear, heal, then loot. Opening containers while the fight is still unstable is how co-op crews split up and get picked off.
