Nearby chest crafting is one of Windrose's best quality-of-life systems. Instead of holding every material yourself, crafting can use resources from nearby storage.
Build Around It
Put storage close to workstations. Group materials logically: wood and stone together, food separately, metals near upgrade benches, and ship supplies near the dock.
Why It Matters
This system turns the base from a collection of boxes into a real workshop. It also prevents co-op players from constantly asking where basic resources went.
