Boarding is exciting, but it is also where strong Windrose runs collapse. Treat boarding as the finish to a good naval fight, not the opening move.
When To Board
Board when the enemy ship is pressured, your ship is stable, and your crew has food and healing active. If your own ship is still taking heavy damage, stay aboard and stabilize first.
Boarding Roles
Send the best land-combat player first while one teammate watches ship condition. A clean boarding action should end the fight quickly and return everyone to repairs and looting.
