Windrose is strongest as a co-op survival game. A group can split the workload between the base, the ship, and land expeditions instead of forcing one player to do every job.

Best Co-op Roles

Assign one player to navigation and ship positioning, one to repairs and supplies, one to boarding or cannon pressure, and one to looting/gathering when you land. These roles do not need to be permanent, but they keep naval encounters from turning chaotic.

Shared Progress

When playing in another player's world, questing and progression can still move forward, but the host world remains the shared state to think around. For persistent groups, a dedicated server is cleaner than waiting for one host to be online.
