Quartz is the raw feedstock for Glass and feeds batteries, wiring, and habitat parts on top of that. It is highly abundant in and around the Coral Domes of the shallows and appears in almost every biome, so it is rarely a bottleneck. Grab singles by hand, three from a node, or five from a deposit cracked with the Sonic Resonator.
