Base Energy
How seabases stay powered in Subnautica 2: solar panels, bioreactors, and thermal plants feeding oxygen and appliances.
- Generators
- Solar / Bioreactor / Thermal
- Powers
- Oxygen + appliances
Every seabase needs energy to make breathable air and run appliances like the Fabricator. You place generators with the Habitat Builder: Solar Panels for daylight, Bioreactors that burn organic matter, and Thermal Plants that draw on heat in volcanic zones like the Thermal Spires. Each generator fills its own internal store rather than pooling into a shared reserve, so plan placement around where the power is actually needed. Handheld tools run on Batteries while vehicles like the Tadpole take a higher-capacity Power Cell.
