Season 1 Reset: What Carries Into Season 2
Your character, cosmetics, and Auction House access survive the Season 1 reset. Your warehouse, camp buildings, and Gyldenblod do not. The full line-by-line list.
Season 1 ends with a reset, and it is a partial one. Bellring's own name for the framework is "partial reset with progressive returns": your character survives intact, your stockpile does not, and what you lose comes back as shop currency on a sliding scale that deliberately favours nobody.
The practical version: stop hoarding. Anything sitting in your warehouse converts, so gear you were saving for Season 2 is worth more spent, sold, or socketed now than it is banked.
What Survives Untouched
| Category | Detail |
|---|---|
| Characters | Every character on the account, with appearance, level, skills, and talent points |
| Currencies | Fate Coins, Soul Coins, Moonlight Nectar, Star Silver, Starsilver Spindles |
| Cosmetics | All outfits and cosmetic items |
| Access | Unlocked core features and your friends list |
| Progress | Shop, Auction House, Watchtower level, story tasks, Contract reward unlocks, Pip's Gift progress |
| Collection Pedestal | Kept in full, including placed collectibles and their upgrade progress |
| Warehouse | The building upgrades stay. The items inside do not |
What Converts Instead
Everything in this group is settled into Contribution, which then becomes Gyldenblod Leaves to spend in the Fateweaver Shop once Season 2 opens.
| Reset | What happens to it |
|---|---|
| Gyldenblod, Echoes of Fate, all three Soul Cocoon types | Converted to Contribution at set ratios |
| Inventory and warehouse items, Combat Bags, Soulcatch Nets | Converted to Contribution |
| Pip's Pouches and Keychains | Activation timers reset |
| Unused Pip's Rare Pouch Vouchers | Reset under the same rules, even sitting in the warehouse |
| Contract Sigils | Converted 1-to-1 into Faded Contract Sigils |
The Contract Sigil rule has a useful wrinkle. Season 2 brings a new season-exclusive contract, but the Slumbering Contract is permanently retained for as long as it still holds unredeemed rewards, and either Sigil type can be spent against it at any time. There is no deadline to beat there.
Camp Buildings
Six buildings reset to level 1: the Goddess Statue, Gylden Pool, Tavern, Workshop, Scavenger Squad, and Soulcatch Tree. Each returns Contribution scaled to the level it reached.
The part worth knowing before you groan: rare materials are not charged twice. If you already spent Stardust Blooms, Faded Divine Tree Hearts, Messenger Bug Jars, or Celestigold on an upgrade, re-upgrading that building in Season 2 will not ask for them again. The grind that comes back is the common-material grind, not the scarce one.
One building does not simply reset. The Soulcatch Tree takes a new form in Season 2 and will need brand-new materials to raise, though Soulcatch Nets and the way they work are unchanged.
Path of Glory
Your Season 2 starting tier is inherited from where you finished Season 1, with tier compression applied at the top. Bellring's stated intent is that lower tiers keep their progress roughly as-is while higher tiers scale back toward a shared baseline. If you ground to the ceiling, expect to start above a new player and below where you stopped.
What the Fateweaver Shop Sells
Gyldenblod Leaves buy Pip's Rare Pouches, Unbound Holy Collectibles as a Selection Chest, Holy Soulcatch Nets, and Combat Bags. Two Season 1 commemorative cosmetics are exclusive to it: the Gyldjar "Mistchaser's Messenger Bug Jar" and the medal "Proof of the Soul Hunt".
The conversion is tiered, and the rate falls off as the brackets rise. Bellring says this plainly: the goal is to compress the gap between the biggest Season 1 stashes and everyone else. More Contribution still means more tokens, so nothing you earned is wasted, but the top of the curve is paid at a worse rate than the bottom.
Season 2 Loot Is Getting Looser
Alongside the reset rules, Bellring conceded that Season 1 drop rates were "far too conservative". Season 2 raises overall asset drop rates across the board, adds more loot containers to every map, and increases the chance of high-value items from both containers and monsters.
No Season 2 start date has been published. Bellring has not given one, and neither the reset post nor the October 21 live update names a day, so anything you read with a date on it is not from the studio.
