Getting Started with Your V Rising Server

Your V Rising server is ready within 60 seconds of checkout. Here's how to get your vampire clan online.

Server Plans

V Rising is memory-intensive due to castle building and world persistence. We recommend 8 GB+ for servers with active building.

Connecting to Your Server

Method 1: Direct Connect (Recommended)

1. Launch V Rising
2. Click Play then Online Play
3. Click Find Servers then Direct Connect
4. Enter the IP Address and Game Port from your dashboard
5. Click Connect

Method 2: Steam Server Browser

1. Open Steam and go to View then Game Servers
2. Click the Favorites tab
3. Click Add a server (the + icon)
4. Enter your server's IP:Port
5. Click Add then Connect

Method 3: In-Game Server Browser

1. Launch V Rising
2. Click Play then Online Play
3. Click Find Servers
4. Search for your server name
5. Click the server and Connect

Initial Server Configuration

Game Mode

The most important setting for your server. Set before players join:

Setting Up Admins

Adding Admins via Console

1. Open the Console tab in your dashboard
2. Find the player's SteamID64 (use steamid.io)
3. Add the admin:

adminauth <SteamID64>

Admin Permissions

Admins can:

• Use all console commands
• Teleport around the map
• Spawn items and resources
• Modify server settings on the fly
• Kick and ban players

Server Ports

V Rising uses two ports:

Both are pre-configured on HostedGG. You don't need to set these up manually.

World Persistence

V Rising worlds are fully persistent:

• Castles remain when you log off
• Resources respawn on timer
• Blood moon events occur on schedule
• Boss trackers persist

Auto-Save

Your server automatically saves every 15 minutes (configurable). HostedGG also creates daily backups.

Quick Settings Checklist

After your server is running, configure these essential settings:

1. Set server name and password
2. Choose PvE or PvP mode
3. Add yourself as admin
4. Configure castle limits (hearts per player, territory size)
5. Set day/night cycle length
6. Adjust resource gathering rates if desired
7. Configure clan size limits
