Armor & Materials
How armor works in Soulmask: a material ladder from hide and linen up through steel.
- Material ladder
- Hide → Bronze → Iron → Steel
- Slots
- Torso, gloves, legs, boots, jewelry
Armor in Soulmask scales by the material you craft it from rather than by separate cloth or plate lines: the ladder runs from basic beast hide and linen up through bronze, iron, and steel, with each material lifting the piece's stats. Most pieces come off an Armor Forging Table and fill slots for torso, gloves, leg armor, and boots, plus accessory slots like necklaces and rings. On top of raw defense, armor carries resistance "proof" values against cold, heat, poison, and radiation, so matching your gear to a region's environment matters as much as its armor rating.
