Tools are Silksong's equippable gadgets that replace Hollow Knight's charms, split into Red, Blue, and Yellow types.

Tools are the gadgets that fill your Crest's slots, and they replace Hollow Knight's charms. Red tools are active gadgets, throwing weapons, traps, and bombs with limited uses that you refill with Shell Shards at a bench. Blue tools are passive defensive and resistance buffs, and Yellow tools are passive offensive or exploration aids. Unlike Silk Skills, Tools do not cost Silk to use. You expand how many you can carry with the Tool Pouch and make stronger ones with the Crafting Kit.
