Crests in Silksong reshape Hornet's entire moveset and her Tool slot layout, replacing Hollow Knight's Nail Arts.

Crests are equippable cores that define how Hornet fights, swapped at any bench. Each Crest, the Hunter, Reaper, Wanderer, Beast, Witch, Architect, and Shaman, gives her a distinct attack pattern and a different layout of Tool slots. Slots are colour-coded: Red for active combat gadgets, Yellow for passive offensive and exploration tools, Blue for passive defensive tools, and White for Silk Skills. Choosing a Crest and filling its slots is the heart of build-crafting in Silksong.
