Shell Shards are the workhorse crafting resource, used to craft Tools and to recharge your equipped Red tools when you rest at a bench. Most enemies drop them, and they can be mined from deposits in the world, so they accumulate naturally as you fight and explore. They sit alongside Rosaries and Craftmetal in Silksong's split economy. A healthy Shard reserve is what keeps a tool-based build firing.
