Iron is the backbone resource: reliable, plentiful, and used in everything from armor and tools to anvils, buckets, rails, and hoppers.
Finding It
Iron ore is common underground and especially in mountain biomes. Smelt the raw iron into ingots. An early iron set of armor and tools is the standard step up from stone, and iron is the one resource you never stop needing.
