Diamonds are the iconic mid-to-late game resource, needed for top tools, armor, and the enchanting and netherite path.
Finding Them
They are most common deep in the deepslate layers around Y -59, often near lava, so bring an iron pickaxe, torches, and a water bucket. Mine in long branches or follow caves. You need diamonds to make a diamond pickaxe, the only way to mine ancient debris for netherite.
