The Creeper is Minecraft's mascot threat: a silent green mob that creeps up and explodes, wrecking your base and your day. It does not burn in daylight, so it lurks around the clock.
How to Handle It
Hit it and back off to interrupt the hiss, or fight from range with a bow. Cats and ocelots scare Creepers, so a few cats keep your base safe. Their Gunpowder drop is essential for TNT, fireworks, and splash potions.
