Genshin Impact Ineffa Build Guide: The 2000 ATK Rule and Why She Makes Flins Work

Ineffa is a 5-star Electro polearm sub-DPS built entirely around the Lunar-Charged reaction, and her build has one hard breakpoint that changes everything: get her to 2000 ATK first, then chase CRIT. This guide covers her artifact sets, the CRIT-only weapon rule, her talent order, and the Lunar-Charged team she was designed to feed, live now on her 7.0 Phase 2 rerun.

Table of Contents

Get her to 2000 ATK, then stop thinking about ATK entirely. That one number is the whole trick to building Ineffa, and it is the fact most guides bury three scrolls down. Her passive hands the team a scaling buff that maxes out the moment her ATK crosses 2000, and every point of ATK past that does almost nothing for the party. So the first phase of building Ineffa is simple bookkeeping: stack ATK until the counter reads 2000, then pivot hard into CRIT and Elemental Mastery like any other off-field sub-DPS. Miss the breakpoint and she is a mediocre feeder. Hit it and she is the engine that makes an entire Lunar-Charged team fire.

She is on her first rerun right now, in the 7.0 Phase 2 wish alongside Flins, and that pairing is not marketing. They are the two halves of one machine. If you read the Flins build guide already, this is the other side of that coin: Flins is the on-field carry, Ineffa is what keeps his reaction alive.

What Ineffa actually does

Ineffa is a 5-star Electro polearm sub-DPS, and the label that matters most is the last word: sub-DPS, not carry. She sits off field, applies Electro on a rhythm, and deals a genuinely large chunk of personal Lunar-Charged damage while she is at it. Lunar-Charged is the Lunar-region evolution of Electro-Charged, and the important consequence for building her is that her Lunar-Charged hits can crit. That single detail is why she scales like a real damage dealer instead of a flat-multiplier applicator.

On top of the damage she brings two support riders that quietly earn her seat:

  • A team-wide buff tied to her ATK, the one that caps at 2000 ATK.
  • A modest Electro shield, which is not a full sustain but does smooth over chip damage and interruption on a team that otherwise runs zero defense.

So the mental model is: she is a damage-dealing enabler. She feeds the reaction, she buffs the party, she shields a little, and she does all of it from the bench while your on-field carry holds the spotlight.

Artifacts: build for the reaction, in two phases

Her artifact plan splits cleanly along the 2000 ATK line.

Set. Her home set is Silken Moon's Serenade, the Lunar-reaction 4-piece that pushes party-wide Elemental Mastery and Lunar-reaction damage. That is the set that makes her a team piece rather than a solo act, and it is the one to farm if you are committing to the Lunar core. If you want to lean into her personal off-field damage instead, Aubade of Morningstar and Moon is the selfish alternative, and a clean ATK%/EM 4-piece is a perfectly fine stopgap while the domain refuses to drop what you need.

Main stats.

  • Sands: ATK% until you clear the 2000 ATK breakpoint, then EM is a valid swap if your ATK is already comfortable there.
  • Goblet: Electro DMG% or a Lunar-reaction-relevant goblet, depending on how much of her output is personal Lunar-Charged versus flat application on your team.
  • Circlet: CRIT (Rate or DMG). This is where her damage lives once ATK is handled.

Substats, in order: get to 2000 ATK first, full stop. After that, treat her like a normal Lunar sub-DPS and prioritize CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK%, and Elemental Mastery. Keep her CRIT ratio sane rather than chasing a mountain of one stat. The common mistake is over-investing in ATK long past the breakpoint because "more ATK is more damage" feels right; past 2000 it is mostly wasted, and those substat rolls would have done far more as CRIT.

Weapons: buy CRIT, ignore everything else

Ineffa's weapon rule is refreshingly blunt. Because her artifact sets and substats already flood her with ATK and Elemental Mastery, the stat she struggles to find is CRIT. So her best weapons are the ones that hand her CRIT, and you can largely ignore raw ATK sticks.

WeaponWhyPriority
Her signature polearm (Fractured Halo)CRIT-loaded and tuned to her kit; the clean BiSBest
A high-CRIT 5-star polearmAny polearm whose secondary stat is CRIT Rate or CRIT DMGStrong
"The Catch" (crafted/free)Energy Recharge plus a burst boost, the F2P darling for a bursty sub-DPSF2P best
A 4-star CRIT polearmAnything with a CRIT substat beats a flat-ATK stick hereFloor

You do not need her signature. Because so much of her value is the team buff and the reaction (not raw personal numbers), a free The Catch or any CRIT-secondary polearm keeps her doing her job. Before you even consider pulling her weapon, read the Epitomized Path guide: for a support-leaning sub-DPS, the weapon banner is almost always the skippable half of the phase.

Talents and constellations

Talent priority: level her Elemental Skill first, then her Burst, then her normal attacks last. She is a sub-DPS, and the Skill is the part of her kit doing the off-field application and damage, so it is where every level pays back the most. Her normals barely matter because she is not the one on field swinging the polearm.

Constellations: her C0 is fully functional and clears everything the game asks of her. Her dupes sweeten the buff and the damage, but none of them convert her from "great" to "mandatory," so the pity math says take one copy and move on unless you are already deep into whale territory. A returning or f2p player completing the Lunar core wants Ineffa at C0 and Flins at C0 far more than either at C1.

Her team: the Lunar-Charged core

Ineffa does not want to be flexed into a random four. She wants the reaction, and the reaction wants a specific shape:

  • Flins (on-field Electro carry) or another Lunar/Electro on-fielder
  • Ineffa (off-field Electro feeder, the reaction engine)
  • A Hydro applicator to keep Lunar-Charged triggering: Xingqiu, Yelan, or Furina if you own her
  • A Nod-Krai Moonsign enabler, cleanest as Columbina, to push the party to Ascendant Gleam

The load-bearing logic is the same one the Flins guide drills: Hydro is mandatory (no Hydro, no reaction), and a Nod-Krai enabler is the difference between good and great. Ineffa slots into the feeder seat and pulls double duty, applying Electro and buffing the party at once. If you are missing the fancy enablers, a budget line of Ineffa plus Fischl for extra Electro, a Hydro unit, and an Anemo grouper still clears the Spiral Abyss; it just does not reach the ceiling the full Lunar core hits.

For where this whole archetype sits against the rest of the patch, the 7.0 best teams tier list ranks the Lunar core against the season's other top comps.

Should you pull on the rerun?

Pull if:

  • You already own Flins or plan to pull him this phase and want to actually complete the Lunar-Charged core. Ineffa without a Lunar carry is a strong-but-aimless sub-DPS; Ineffa feeding Flins is a top-tier team.
  • You want a flexible Electro sub-DPS with real personal damage, a team buff, and a bit of shielding rolled into one seat. Units that do three jobs from the bench are always worth roster space.

Think twice if:

  • You have no interest in the Lunar archetype and already run a strong Electro off-fielder. Her ceiling shows up inside her intended team; outside it she is merely fine.
  • Your account needs a main carry more than a support. Ineffa amplifies a team that already has a win condition; she does not become one herself.

The one-sentence version: build ATK until the counter says 2000, then build nothing but CRIT and EM, hand her a CRIT weapon, and drop her next to a Hydro unit and a Lunar carry. Do that and she stops being "the other half of the Flins banner" and starts being the reason your Lunar team posts numbers it has no business posting. For the pull verdicts on everyone sharing her phase, the banner schedule carries the full rundown, and the redeem codes page is free Primogems toward whichever half of the core you still need.
