Hedone does not get basic incantations. She does not get an Ultimate either. Open her page in the roster and the two things every other Arcanist in Reverse: 1999 is built around are simply absent, replaced by a Conduit she charges with Energy and a resource called Harmonization sitting where Moxie should be.

That is not a gimmick bolted onto a normal 6-star. It is the whole unit, and it is why the pull question for Version 3.9 Phase 1 is harder than "is she strong".

Everything below is read off the Chinese build, which has been live since August 13, 2026. Global is projected for November 5, a date that comes from version arithmetic rather than an announcement. The working is in our 3.9 preview and the measured server gap is in the CN to Global breakdown.

Being Mineral, she loses to Plant and beats Beast on the Afflatus wheel. The 271 ATK is the headline number people will misread: it is a damage-dealer stat line on a unit whose largest damage instance does not scale with it at all. More on that in a moment.

The three incantations, with the numbers

She holds three, and the third one is a transformation of the second rather than a separate card.

Forged in Glory (Interval, 0 Energy, grants 20 Harmonization). Single-target attack, 500% Reality DMG. While she holds Blazing Glory, the same attack deals an additional 500% and gives her Mineral Energy +2.

At Full Draw (Interval, 2 Energy). Mass attack, 350% Reality DMG to all enemies, then applies Seared to the target for 4 rounds. Seared is small on paper and large in practice: any attack from a Conduit against a Seared target deals 8% more damage, and in a team built the way she wants, most of the damage on screen is coming from Conduits.

The Thirteenth Feat (Switch: At Full Draw). This is the payoff card. Mass attack, 800% Reality DMG to all enemies, plus Static Genesis DMG to the main target equal to 100% of Absolute Prowess and 50% of it to everything else. Then the clause the title is about: if the Spelldock is not currently holding a Flame Undying card, she generates one; if it already is, the attack deals another 800% Reality DMG instead. After it resolves she gains a stack of Conduit Calibration II and the Absolute Prowess meter is wiped to zero.

Absolute Prowess is a damage meter, and she is the one who cashes it

This is the part worth understanding before you decide anything.

Absolute Prowess records 10% of all damage your team's Incantations have dealt to the enemy, and an extra 10% on top while that enemy holds Seared. It only counts the most recent four rounds, so it is a rolling window rather than a bank you can sit on forever.

The Thirteenth Feat then converts the whole recorded value into Static Genesis DMG. Static Genesis is the important word: that damage type ignores stat bonuses entirely. Her ATK does not touch it, her Crit does not touch it, Psychubes that raise damage dealt do not touch it. It is a straight percentage of what the rest of your team already did.

So she is not a carry you build up. She is a carry your team builds up, and the practical consequence is that her ceiling is set by how hard the other three Arcanists hit while she stands there recording. Pair her with a mediocre board and the meter stays small no matter how much ATK she has.

Flame Undying, or where the Energy comes from

Her engine is one card that sits outside the normal rules. At the end of each round, Flame Undying smelts up to 2 unused basic Energy cards from the Spelldock, cheapest first. Every point smelted accumulates one point of Flame Undying Energy, up to 4 per round and a stored maximum of 7. Cash it in and she gets that much Mineral Energy back.

Two details make it better than it sounds. It does not count against the team's Incantation Draw Limit, and it does not cost AP. It is free value made out of the cards you were going to waste anyway, which is the actual reason a Conduit build works at all. The catch is that it starts locked and only becomes usable once at least one point has been smelted, so round one is a setup round whether you like it or not.

Insight I ties the two halves together: smelting Energy grants Blazing Glory for three rounds, and the Flame Undying she enters battle with already holds 2 accumulated Energy. Blazing Glory is a Force Field giving Conduit Might +10% plus DMG Bonus equal to 100% of her Conduit Might, capped at 65%.

The rest of the Insight track is plain. Insight II is a flat 8% DMG Dealt on entry. Insight III gives her 75 Harmonization immediately, then +1 for every Energy point any ally spends activating a Conduit.

What each Portray actually buys

Most units have one Portray that matters and four that pad the list. Hers do not split that cleanly, which makes the table worth reading before you spend Unilogs.

PortrayWhat changes
P1Flame Undying smelts 3 cards instead of 2, accumulates up to 6, stores up to 10, enters with 4. Forged in Glory and At Full Draw grant 30 Harmonization instead of 20
P2Entry Harmonization 75 to 100. Blazing Glory's Conduit Might 10% to 20%, DMG Bonus cap 65% to 75%
P3Forged in Glory 500% to 800%. Mineral Energy gained under Blazing Glory rises to 3
P4The Thirteenth Feat 800% to 1200%. Seared 8% to 16%
P5Each point smelted accumulates 2 Flame Undying Energy, cap 8, stored 12, enters with 6. Absolute Prowess records 18%, and a further 18% under Seared

P4 is the one that changes a fight, because it hits both of her damage sources at once: the nuke itself and the multiplier every Conduit attack in the team is riding. P5 nearly doubles the meter. P2 and P3 are real but incremental. If you are a free-to-play account reading this to decide whether to chase copies, the honest answer is that P0 Hedone does the job and the gap to P4 is a luxury, not a requirement.

What this page will not tell you yet

A best Psychube and a settled team list, because neither is verifiable from a primary source right now. CN build orders exist and they disagree with each other, and the Global translation of her skill text has not shipped, which has caught guides out before on this game. We have marked both as unconfirmed rather than printing a guess with a confident face on it.

What is safe to say about teams: she wants Conduit users and Incantation damage around her, not a second Mineral carry competing for the same slot. If you built around Everecho in 3.8, that core is close to what she is asking for. If you spent 3.8 on Cornerstone and a Riposte board, she is the wrong shape and you should read the Riposte build again before moving pulls across.

The pull call, with three days of runway

If the November 5 projection holds, Phase 1 opens as 3.8 closes at 04:59 (UTC-5) and you have roughly three weeks on the channel. Hedone is worth saving for if your account already has a working Incantation-heavy board and a sustain unit you trust, because she multiplies what that board was doing. She is worth skipping if your roster is thin, because the thing she scales off is other people's damage and you would be buying a meter with nothing to fill it.

Check the live state on the banner schedule before you spend, and note the pity rules on the gacha system page if you are going in without a plan.

Verification: every skill number, status effect and Portray line above is read from the datamined CN build of Version 3.9, which has been live since August 13, 2026. The November 5 Global date is a projection, not an announcement, and is marked NEEDS_REVIEW. Psychube and team recommendations are deliberately absent for the same reason.
