The catch is the supporting infrastructure: you must mine and refine uranium into fuel rods, supply enormous amounts of water, and crucially process the radioactive waste it produces, or it will pile up and irradiate your factory.

Nuclear is the endgame answer to insatiable power demand. Building a closed nuclear-waste loop is one of the great late-game engineering puzzles, which is why it tops the power tier list.
