The Blacksmith is the Survivor you want to rescue first. Once revived at your Flame Altar, they unlock the crafting of metal weapons and armor and let you repair gear, the single biggest power jump in the early game.
Top Rescue Priority
Every combat build depends on the weapons and armor the Blacksmith makes possible, which is why they top the Survivor tier list. Set up their workstation early and keep it fed with ore and ingots.
