Palworld Finally Has a 1.0 Date
After more than two years in Early Access, Pocketpair used Summer Game Fest to date Palworld 1.0 for July 10, 2026, complete with a cinematic reveal trailer. It is the biggest milestone since the game's record-breaking launch, and it lands just weeks after the Tides of Terraria crossover patch on June 25. Here is what the full release actually brings.
The World Tree Roughly Doubles the Map
The headline is the World Tree region, a second major island that opens at 1.0 and roughly doubles the playable map. That is a huge amount of new ground to explore, capture, and build across, along with new Pals to catch in the new biomes. For a game whose core loop is "see a new area, want everything in it," doubling the map is the most direct possible content drop.
Genetic Recombination: Breeding Gets Deeper
Breeding has always been one of Palworld's most engaging systems, and 1.0 adds Genetic Recombination, a deeper layer on top of it. If you have spent time chasing perfect passives, this is the feature to read up on. Our Palworld breeding guide covers the fundamentals the new system builds on, and the breeding wiki entry tracks the mechanics.
The Big One for Hosts: Server Clustering
This is where 1.0 gets interesting for anyone who runs a server. Palworld is adding Server Clustering for dedicated servers, letting players travel between linked servers carrying the same Pal Box. In practice, that means a group can spread across multiple worlds without leaving their Pals behind, the kind of feature that turns a single server into a persistent network.
Alongside clustering, the 1.0 server tooling adds:
- Per-Pal spawn-rate configuration, for admins who want to tune their world's ecology.
- Native admin command sets, reducing the need for third-party tools.
If you are planning a community world for launch, our Palworld server hosting guide and the multiplayer wiki are the place to start.
How We Got Here
The road to 1.0 has been paced by steady free updates:
- Version 0.7, "Home Sweet Home" (December 2025) overhauled base building to be more intuitive and flexible.
- Version 0.7.3 (April 2026) followed with balance adjustments and fixes.
Pocketpair has signaled that the cadence continues after launch, with a major free expansion roughly every four to six months bringing a new region, new Pals, and a fresh endgame loop.
Getting Ready for Launch
With the map doubling and a new breeding layer arriving, July 10 is a natural moment to start fresh. Set up your base with our base building guide, plan your team around the Palworld tier list, and keep the Palworld wiki open as you explore the World Tree.
If you want the new server clustering and admin tooling on day one, a dedicated Palworld server is the way to experience the full release with friends.
