How Weapons & Armor Work in Enshrouded
Enshrouded's gear system is straightforward but deep. Weapons have base damage, attack speed, and special properties. Armor provides defense and set bonuses that change your playstyle.
Unlike loot-based games, you craft your gear — better materials unlock better equipment. Progression is linear: Tier 1 (starting) through Tier 5 (endgame), with each tier requiring materials from deeper parts of the map.

Multiplayer Gear Tips
On a dedicated server with friends:
- Share materials — if someone finds rare crafting materials, distribute them to whoever needs the upgrade most
- Specialize roles — one Warrior tank, one Ranger DPS, one Mage support works perfectly for boss fights
- Craft spare gear — keep backup weapons at your base for corpse runs
- Coordinate upgrades — upgrade the group evenly rather than one person getting all the best gear
