It is a fast, combat-heavy open-world action RPG with a real skill ceiling, and on console it plays like a proper character-action game.

The veteran of console gacha, and still worth a slot. Tower of Fantasy has been on PlayStation the longest of any open-world gacha here, with cross-platform play and an anime-flavored shared world that leans more MMO than its rivals. It does not have the raw polish of the HoYoverse lineup, but it offers something they mostly do not: a persistent, multiplayer-forward open world you can roam on a controller.

Console catch: the presentation and story are a step below the top of this list, and it asks for a bigger time commitment to click.
What to know before you download any of them
- Cross-save is the whole point. Every game here syncs to a platform-agnostic account (HoYoverse or Kuro), so console is a screen, not a separate save. Log in with the account you already use and your progress follows you.
- Storage is real. These are large, frequently updated games. Keep tens of gigabytes free and expect regular patch downloads.
