Which WoW Forever pack is worth buying
Start from the part Blizzard does not put in the marketing: none of these packs are required to play Forever. An active subscription or Game Time gets you in on November 4. What the packs sell is the Skyborne race, a name before the rush, beta access, and cosmetics.

The one that actually buys you something time-limited. If you want to be in on September 17 rather than hoping for a wave invite, this is the floor.
Warcraft Forever Collection

Twenty dollars over the Epic Pack for Warcraft III: Reforged and a campaign. Worth it only if you actually want those; it adds nothing to Forever itself that the Epic Pack does not already give you.

Playing at launch and nothing else? Buy nothing. Your subscription covers it.
Want the Skyborne, or a specific name? The Heroic Pack is the floor, and name reservation opens October 27. That window is the only genuinely time-sensitive thing on this page.
Want to play on September 17? The Epic Pack at $59.99 is the cheapest guaranteed beta access. Read the caveats there first: level 30 cap, and characters do not carry over.
Already own Warcraft III: Reforged? Then the Collection is $20 for housing decor and a campaign. Skip it.
