A campfire makes a campsite. Anyone standing at it can drop one object from their profession, and everyone there picks up an hour of whatever those objects give. This is the table of what exists.
The rules
Objects per campfire
3, raised to 5 or 10 by Cooking upgrades
Objects per player

Shared cooldown
3,600 seconds, one hour, across all camping features
Buff duration
1 hour
Time to become rested

Campsite lifetime

First object unlocks at
Profession skill 20, from camping NPCs or your trainer
Advanced objects
Blueprint recipes dropped by specific dungeon bosses
Stacking
Buffs are class-buff variants and do not stack with them
PvP
Campsites are not Sanctuaries
The one that catches people: those buffs are variants of class buffs, not additions to them. A group with a Priest, a Druid and a Paladin in it already has most of this. Camping is aimed at the person levelling alone, which is exactly who does not have those.
The objects, by profession
Each profession gets three objects across skill 1 to 300, the first at skill 20. Blizzard has named one per profession in public; the rest come from the beta client and are marked, because a number pulled out of a beta build is a snapshot of a build rather than a statement about the game. 7 of the 12 rows below are in that second category.

Permanence (Rank 1)Datamined
Increases campsite duration by 50%.
Reagent EconomyDatamined
Tier 1 camping features cost no reagents to craft.
One oddity worth naming rather than tidying away: a Legacy perk and a Skinning object are both reported as Field Guide. That is either a real collision in Blizzard’s naming or somebody’s transcription error, and picking one would be inventing a fact. Flagged until the client settles it.
What is still missing
No camping objects have surfaced yet for Enchanting, Engineering, Mining, Fishing.
Reagents for most of the Blizzard-named objects.
Exact buff values. Most published effects name the stat, not the number.
Which dungeon bosses drop which Blueprint recipes.
Whether campsites survive the owner logging out or dying.
The camping guide covers why the system exists and how to plan around it, and the professions changes cover what else moved, including First Aid picking up Healing Potions.
Last verified 2026-09-19. Rows marked verified come from Blizzard’s World of Warcraft: Forever Deep Dive panel recap. Rows marked datamined come from the beta client via Wowhead and Warcraft Tavern, and will move as the build does. Icy Veins for the rest timer and the Legacy perks; Blizzard Watch for the Sanctuary rule. We flag rather than merge the two, because a beta value and a Blizzard statement are not the same kind of fact.
