Short answer: prioritize your Furnace level since it gates everything, keep your builders busy at all times, invest Gems and Hero XP into the heroes of your current generation, and claim every active code first.
Priorities for new players
- Push your Furnace. Furnace level unlocks buildings, troop tiers, and research, so it is the single most important number. Upgrade it whenever you can.
- Never idle your builders. Always have construction and research queued. Use a second builder from the early offers to double your pace.
- Invest in current-generation heroes. Hero power decides most combat. Read Hero Generations Explained before spending, and avoid over-investing in heroes that get replaced first.
- Spend Gems wisely. Save Gems for the value packs and the second builder rather than rushing single upgrades or random gacha pulls.
- Claim free rewards. Redeem every working code on the Whiteout Survival codes page, and collect daily quests, login rewards, and Alliance gifts.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not over-invest in a Gen 1 frontline hero like Sergey; he is one of the first to be outclassed.
- Do not let resources sit uncollected and raidable. Spend or protect them.
- Do not skip joining an active Alliance. Alliance help, gifts, and rallies massively speed up early growth.
