Short answer: rerolling means starting fresh and using your early free pulls to chase a strong SSR, then restarting if you miss. NIKKE's pity makes rerolling optional, so most players take a free SSR selector and skip the grind.

How Recruit (the gacha) works

  • The Recruit banner is NIKKE's gacha. You spend Gems or Recruit Vouchers to pull units of R, SR, and SSR rarity.
  • Pulls build toward a pity counter that guarantees an SSR within a set number of pulls, so you are never far from a top-rarity unit.
  • New accounts get free pulls, an early SSR selector ticket, and code rewards (see the NIKKE codes page) that make a fast start easy without heavy rerolling.

How to reroll

  1. Create a new or guest account and clear the short tutorial.
  2. Claim your free pulls, mailbox rewards, and any beginner banner singles.
  3. Redeem active codes for extra Recruit Vouchers and Gems.
  4. Pull on the standard or beginner banner. If you do not get a strong SSR, clear the account data and start again.

What to aim for

  • Prioritise a strong B1 (Burst Stage I) and B2 (Burst Stage II) unit so your team can cycle into its powerful Burst Stage III finishers, since NIKKE squads need the full burst chain to function.
  • A reliable healer or support smooths out early campaign walls.
  • Because pity is forgiving and the free SSR selector covers a top pick, treat rerolling as optional: a single good SSR plus the beginner banner is enough to start. Read the beginner guide once you settle on an account.
