Reverse: 1999 Beginner Guide
A new-player guide to Reverse: 1999: what to prioritize early, how to build a team around Afflatus and Psychubes, and how to spend pulls wisely.
Short answer: follow the main story for fast account leveling, build one solid team around a 6-star carry, lean on Afflatus advantage, invest your best Psychubes into that carry, and save your pulls for limited Arcanists you actually want.
What to Prioritize Early
- Play the main story. It is the fastest source of Clear Drops and Unilogs (your pull currency) and unlocks the systems you need.
- Build one team, not five. A carry, a sub-DPS or buffer, and a healer or survival unit will clear the vast majority of content. Spreading resources thin clears nothing.
- Respect Afflatus. Bringing the right element against a stage is free power. Keep a small bench so you can always answer a tough fight.
- Gear your carry with Psychubes. Psychubes are your equipment, and a well-chosen one is a big damage or utility boost. Prioritize your main damage dealer first.
Spending Pulls Wisely
Reverse: 1999 is reasonably generous, and a patient free-to-play account can clear everything. Read the pity system before you spend, save for limited 6-stars you love, and avoid impulse pulls on units that duplicate a role you already cover.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not ignore Afflatus. Brute-forcing into a type disadvantage is the most common new-player wall.
- Do not hoard your stamina cap. Spend it daily on the materials your carry needs.
- Do not chase every shiny 6-star. A focused account beats a scattered one every time.
